Multitude Monday
Thank you Lord for all you do for me and my family. You are always so good to us. Thank you for always being there. Thank you for answering prayer.
1. KNOWLEDGE. Thank you Lord. I prayed for knowledge for Shawn last week. You came through for us. I happened to run across a paper about amantadine. It said every so often you will need a break from taking this. I remembered back to when he was in the hospital and they had given him a 2 day break. This paper said to go 48 hours without medicine (amantadine). We did that this weekend and boy was it tough but we made it through. Shawn came home from school today a different child!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lord you are AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2. KNOWLEDGE. Thank you Lord. I have been praying for some answers to healing for fibromyalgia symptoms. I came across "clean eating". Also known as cutting all processed foods, sugars, and white flours from your diet. Eating clean is the practice of eating whole, natural foods such as fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and complex carbohydrates. I have been Type 1 diabetic my whole life and never realized how processed foods were and how much sugar was in EVERYTHING you put in your mouth. Cleaning up a diet is hard to do. It is one of the hardest challenges that someone is faced with when it comes to improving health.
3. Not eating ANY candy on Halloween!!!!! NONE!!!
4. Heating Pads.
5. Oatmeal for breakfast. I have been eating this for the past week and I can say I love my oatmeal!!!
6. .10¢ Summer clearance sale at Dollar General. Spent $10 and got 100 items!! NICE stuff too. Wish I had pictures to share. Got citronella candles, patio chairs, flower pots (the huge nice ones), kite string, july 4th decor (flag bows, flags, flag frames), small glass flower vases, bird feeders, bird houses, gardening tools, pink and dark pink plastic table covers, grill brushes. ALL 10¢ each!!! Yes this was an advertised special in their weekly ad.
7. Chris and Shawn going on a "man" date Saturday. It was so nice to see them go out by themselves and bond.
8. Devin and his Air Force Coins. LOL. He is so into those things.
9. My children's love for Christ.
10. Your WORD. If I ever question anything in life or anything that someone says or thinks I can always look in the word and see if it is real or not. If it is not in your word Father, then it is FALSE and FAKE. It is all laid out there for us.

OPERATION GRATITUDE--Dentists buy back halloween candy to send to troops
Every kid loves Halloween! So do adults.
As responsible dentists, community members, and US citizens, Halloween Candy Buy Back dentists have found a way to keep the fun, while helping kids and our troops deployed overseas.
Operation Gratitude:
Operation Gratitude
Halloween candy buy back:
Halloween Candy Buy Back
Facebook page:
https://www.facebook.com/HalloweenCandy
https://www.facebook.com/OperationGratitude
How does the program work?
- Participating dentists "buy" back kids' Halloween candy at a scheduled event
- "Buy" with cash, coupons, toothbrushes, creative exchanges - They can partner with local businesses to give away coupons for food, services, goods, etc. They can give away the Hygiene Kits, they can set up an Opportunity Prize--each kid gets a ticket per pound of candy for an opportunity drawing to win special prizes, etc.
- Dentists send the candy to Operation Gratitude or other Military support groups
- Operation Gratitude sends the candy to U.S. Military deployed in harm's way
I know when my husband is overseas, he loves nothing more than getting candy. I always send a ton so he shares with the rest of the guys. They all look forward to my packages.

not being able to do things I used to do like spending the day with the family having fun, because I’m in so much pain, because I don’t have the energy, because I am so sleepy.
16. Something I never thought I could do with my illness that I did was:
Exercise. I am currently walking when I feel well. Going to work up to a run one of these days.
17. The commercials about my illness:
are fake. You cannot take a special pill and be all better.
18. Something I really miss doing since I was diagnosed is:
Having energy from sun up to sun down taking care of my family.
19. It was really hard to have to give up:
Having the energy to do all the mom and wife stuff I would like to do.
20. A new hobby I have taken up since my diagnosis is:
EVERYTHING. I have made so many wonderful creations in the past year. When I am having a hard day instead of sulking about it I sit here and create things.
21. If I could have one day of feeling normal again I would:
Family fun day
22. My illness has taught me:
positive self talk
23. Want to know a secret? One thing people say that gets under my skin is:
nothing..................Jesus thinks I am OKAY!!!!!!!! I am a GEM in his eyes.
24. But I love it when people:
ask how I am.
25. My favorite motto, scripture, quote that gets me through tough times is:
Romans 10:13 Everyone who calls "help God," gets help
26. When someone is diagnosed I’d like to tell them:
It will be okay. This illness will make you grow in faith.
27. Something that has surprised me about living with an illness is:
fibromyalgia= How hard I can push myself. Some days I just want to rest but that is not possible with 4 youngins.
28. The nicest thing someone did for me when I wasn’t feeling well was:
Leaving me in peace and quiet.
29. I’m involved with Invisible Illness Week because:
People need to know
30. The fact that you read this list makes me feel:
thankful that you care.
1. The illness I live with is:
not just one illness; fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, migraines, depression, TYPE 1 Diabetes Mellitus
2. I was diagnosed with it in the year:
fibromyalgia=2010, chronic fatigue syndrome=2010, migraines=2010, depression=2007, TYPE 1 Diabetes Mellitus=1984
3. But I had symptoms since:
fibromyalgia=2007, chronic fatigue syndrome=2007, migraines=2010, depression=2007, TYPE 1 Diabetes Mellitus=1984
4. The biggest adjustment I’ve had to make is:
taking breaks
5. Most people assume:
I am normal
6. The hardest part about mornings are:
neck pain. body is sore EVERYWHERE.
7. My favorite medical TV show is:
Greys Anatomy DUH
8. A gadget I couldn’t live without is:
cell phone.
9. The hardest part about nights are:
falling asleep is hard sometimes. PAIN
10. Each day I take __ pills & vitamins.
4 Pills, 2 Vitamins plus pain meds/headache meds if needed
11. Regarding alternative treatments I:
Get heat therapy/massage weekly. Helps a ton.
12. If I had to choose between an invisible illness or visible I would choose:
invisible. I have always had diabetes TYPE 1 and it has never kept me from doing anything.
13. Regarding working and career:
I have 4 young kids. Enough said.
14. People would be surprised to know:
How much pain I am in and how little energy I have DAILY.
15. The hardest thing to accept about my new reality has been:

Multitude Monday
Thank you Lord. Thank you Lord. Thank you Lord. YOu are amazing. You are beautiful. You are wonderful. You give me everything I need. You are my backbone. You are always there for me. You know me inside and out and know whats best for me. You believe in me. You are my master!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
1. Pastor Ron and his Sunday Message. That man can preach. He never bores anyone. He preached yesterday about how some people do not let go of sin after accepting Jesus. John 8:36 and Romans 6. He said when you are in "trouble" say Jesus Christ out loud a few times and the scene will change. I tried this a couple of times this week and boy did it work.
2. Church bake sale. I have never stood at the front of church to say hello to everyone as they enter. This past Sunday, we had a Girlfriends In God Bake Sale to Raise money for Womens Missions. I got there early to help sale those cakes. It was neat to be able to say hello and smile at everyone as they entered church. (Wish I would have taken a picture of my cake I made. it was pretty!!!!!!)
3. Ability to talk about you Lord anytime anywhere to anyone who will listen.
4. Shawn's friend Christopher that lives a few doors down from us!!!!!!!! Devin tags along as well.
5. Fire Safety Day at Sheppard AFB. We really LOVED the parade in base housing and all the celebration at the BX from our local firefighters and rescue people!!! They always go above and beyond for the military members and their families.
6. My imagination and craftiness/artistic nature. I love creating things.

Multitude Monday
Thank you Lord for another week.
thank you father for:
1. Hanging out with my Devin. He is my sweet sweet son. He is always so goofy and fun to be around and hang out with. I have found myself lately not spending as much time with him as I would like so yesterday we went and hung out. It was a wonderful refresher. That boy always holds a sweet spot in my heart.
2. Third Day and Newsboys in concert Friday. It was so neat to be in a building full of screaming christian fans all praising JESUS!!!!!!!!!!!My type of place to go.
3. Being able to give bags of food to those in need.
4. Rescheduling of the doctors appointment I had Friday at 11am. I did NOT want to go because I was saving my energy for the concert Friday night (Third Day). I prayed for it to go well at the doctor. At 9am Friday, the secretary called and said we had to reschedule for Monday because the Doctor had an emergency surgery. How cool is that??? That is God answering a small but very important to me prayer.
5. Shawn finding a VERY good friend. Shawn has often struggled with finding and keeping friends. He finally has a good friend named Chris whom lives a couple of streets down from us. Chris is the type of person I would want any of my children to be friends with. Thank you LORD!!!!!!!!!!!
6. NEW sewing machine!!!!! I do not know how to sew but I am learning. I am very confident in anything and I know I can conquer sewing. The first thing I sewed was some curtains for the kitchen. Now I am working on the childrens costumes for Trunk or Treat at church on the 31st.
7. Thank you for changing me Lord. I am giving it all to you. Holding nothing back. Hiding nothing. So many people pick and choose what they give to Father but I am trying my hardest to give him it ALL. He is the only one who can move those mountains.
8. Thank you for allowing me to see potential in everyone. Even those people who look like garbage or worthless to most. God sees us as wonderful so we should look at everyone that way. God can change them and restore them.
9. Thank you for allowing me to fill my head with positive thoughts and get rid of all the negative self talk. Most people do talk to theirselves in a negative manner but I am trying to break that. Satan will not condemn me with negative thoughts anymore. Even on my worst days Father sees me as a jewel.
10. Thank you for putting the hunger to live in your word and worship 24/7. I am hungry Lord. Thank you.

Multitude Monday 9/26
Thank you Lord for another week.
I got sick at the beginning of the week with a common cold but to someone with Fibromyalgia, it is not common. I missed Ladies Bible Study at church, Moms & Munchkins, and Homeworks (like Sunday school but on Wednesday night).
Thank goodness Father God blessed me with feeling well by the end of the week. I did one of my Extreme Coupon Classes at Church Saturday. It took hours of preparation but it was worth it to share my knowledge of coupon shopping with others. I also set up a "store" to raise money for Women's Ministry!!
thank you Lord for:
1. Knowledge of your word
2. Ability to tell others about you
3. New christian Tees from Mardel's
4. Nathan asking me why is there Jesus and God? That boy loves to pray and loves going to church!!
5. Shawn not having any of his episodes last week.
6. Ability to kick satan where it hurts when I need to. Jesus always makes sure we are taken care of.
7. Rain!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
8. Blessing of being broke. It makes me appreciate what we have. We have been broke since last week due to a month overloaded with bills and extra expenses but it has not been bad. We have plenty to eat and everything we need. So yes being broke has been a blessing in that it made me appreciate what we have and has pushed me even farther to bless as many as I am able.
9. Shawn and Devin working at food distribution at church. I was sad I could not help but I had to do the Coupon Class.
10. Christian music. I love listening to Modern Christian music 24/7. Helps me push myself by staying focused plus the kids love listening to it.

Multitude Monday
This week has been a very hard week. Satan and his angels SUCK!!!!!!!!! I hate when he tries to get involved with my feelings/emotions. I am a very laid back person and usually do not pay too much attention to how others treat me. He tried to get me this weekend when I was overloaded and "busy" with life. But boy did he LOSE!!!!!! HE is a LOOSER!!!!!!!!!
Epesians 4:26-27
26-27Go ahead and be angry. You do well to be angry—but don't use your anger as fuel for revenge. And don't stay angry. Don't go to bed angry. Don't give the Devil that kind of foothold in your life.
Last night I was so angry and the house just was not peaceful. I put on my earphones and blasted out to KLOVE for 2 hours while reading the bible and bible lesson books. I can tell you what I felt much better after giving those 2 hours to Christ instead of watching the newest show on TV or playing on the internet.
2 Samuel 24:24
24I'm not going to offer God, my God, sacrifices that are no sacrifice."
Why do people always give to God last. After all bills are paid and all the entertainment money is gone??? You have to give to God first and he will give you back ten fold. You have to give him your BEST. He gave you his best: Jesus Christ.
Worship takes effort and energy. It is not always convienent or comfortable, sometimes worship is a sacrifice.
This is so true in my life sometimes.
Psalm 113:3 MSG
Hallelujah! You who serve God, praise God!
Just to speak his name is praise!
Just to remember God is a blessing—
now and tomorrow and always.
From east to west, from dawn to dusk,
keep lifting all your praises to God!
Worship is not a part of your life, it is your life. Every activity can be transformed into an act of worship when you do it for the praise, glory, and pleasure of God. DONT wake up in the morning asking God for me this and me that. Ask him how you can praise his name or how you can serve him. You cannot exalt God and yourself at the same time.
So many believers or people who look at believers think that God is all Good. Our perception of God does not allow us to talk about bad things. Satan realizes that he does not have much time left until Jesus comes back for his people so he is trying as hard as he can to get God's most prized possessions: his children. Satan CANNOT mess with the blood of the lamb but he surely can send his angels to try and mess with your feelings.
You will not always feel close to God. The deepest level of worship is praising God in spite of pain, thanking God during a Trial, trusting God when Tempted, Surrendering when suffering, and loving God when he seems distant.
God will sometimes seem distant but he will never leave us. You have to thank God when things are at their worst. You have to be confident that things will be okay. This is all a normal part of the testing and maturing of your friendship with God. Every Christian experiences this.
Matthew 23: 8-10
Don't set people up as experts over your life, letting them tell you what to do. Save that authority for God; let him tell you what to do. No one else should carry the title of 'Father'; you have only one Father, and he's in heaven. And don't let people maneuver you into taking charge of them. There is only one Life-Leader for you and them—Christ.
Eph 2:16-18 Christ brought us together through his death on the cross. The Cross got us to embrace, and that was the end of the hostility. Christ came and preached peace to you outsiders and peace to us insiders. He treated us as equals, and so made us equals. Through him we both share the same Spirit and have equal access to the Father.
Don't let one Believer rule over your life. You have to follow what Christ has told you to do. So often we are so hooked on what the Pastor or Elders of the church say. You cannot get to Christ through them. You have to go to Christ on your own. We are all the same in God's eyes.
matthew 23: 11-12
Do you want to stand out? Then step down. Be a servant.
We have to pray with a servant heart rather than a selfish heart. This is so hard to do sometimes because we want God to bless me me me. Instead of asking him what his plans are for us.
The Lord tells us to pray like this: very simply:
matthew 6: 7-13
7-13"The world is full of so-called prayer warriors who are prayer-ignorant. They're full of formulas and programs and advice, peddling techniques for getting what you want from God. Don't fall for that nonsense. This is your Father you are dealing with, and he knows better than you what you need. With a God like this loving you, you can pray very simply. Like this:
Our Father in heaven,
Reveal who you are.
Set the world right;
Do what's best— as above, so below.
Keep us alive with three square meals.
Keep us forgiven with you and forgiving others.
Keep us safe from ourselves and the Devil.
You're in charge!
You can do anything you want!
You're ablaze in beauty!
Yes. Yes. Yes.

New fibromyalgia drug DROXIPODA in FDA phases now
NEWSBRIEF: The U.S. Patent Office has issued a new patent to Chelsea Therapeutics for its drug droxidopa as a fibromyalgia treatment, according to the company. The patent is based on positive results of previous trials and would give Chelsea exclusive rights to produce the drug for a certain period of time, if it receives FDA approval.
Chelsea says it is gearing up to start its second phase 2 trial of droxidopa and has enrolled 120 fibromyalgia patients. The company expects to release preliminary results by the end of 2011.
What is Droxidopa?
Droxidopa is a synthetic version of a substance your body uses to make the neurotransmitter/hormone norepinephrine. Norepinephrine performs several important functions, and your body also uses it to produce dopamine, another important neurotransmitter. Studies have shown that this drug can improve fatigue, weakness, concentration, and orthostatic hypotension (blood pressure drop upon standing, which causes dizziness) in several conditions.
The drug is not yet approved in the U.S. for any use. However, it is currently in phase 2 trials for chronic fatigue syndrome and phase 3 trials for orthostatic hypotension in Parkinson's disease.
Based on typical timelines for drug testing and approval, this drug could be on the market in 3 to 5 years, if current trials are successful.
It is wonderful that they are researching new drugs for fibromyalgia treatment. As someone who has had an autoimmune disease their whole life it is always promising to see new drugs come on the market. I have had Type 1 Juvenile Diabetes Mellitus my whole life. I always get so excited when I hear of new treatments or new trials for Type 1 Diabetes. Like Humalog Insulin, or The insulin pump, or insulin pump sensor. So to hear of new drugs or treatments about Fibromyalgia or CFS is amazing.
